Andrew Tate has sparked outrage with his "sick" comment aimed at actress Ariana Grande. The self-proclaimed 'misogynist' and former professional kickboxer, 38, shared a vile remark about Wicked star Ariana. Tate, along with brother Tristan currently face charges in Romania of human trafficking and forming an organised group to sexually exploit women. He is also charged with rape.
The pair face more than 10 years in jail if found guilty and both have strongly denied the charges against them. Tate has been banned from TikTok, YouTube and Facebook after the platforms accused him of posting hate speech and misogynistic comments, including that women should bear responsibility for being sexually assaulted. But his X account remains live.
He uses the platform, owned by Elon Musk, to spout his views and has taken aim at Ariana in his latest post. Tate said: "I'm sorry Ariana Grande you're too skinny and I would no longer f**k you. Access denied." The crude remark was then followed by him leaving a comment under a social media photo of the star.
Tate said Ariana "looks like a crack h*e." Social media users were quick to call out the vile comments from Tate as one said: "Why do men think it's ok to comment on women's bodies?" Another added: "This is the most disrespectful and disgusting tweet I’ve seen today. How the f**k are people like this still on this app? Absolutely ridiculous.".
Someone else commented: "Dude, you are gross." A fourth wrote: "She's more famous than you, has more money, more success, has an amazing reputation, and hasn't been to jail." Another fan shared: "Imagine thinking you had the access to deny in the first place. Ariana Grande wasn’t at the door, mate, she was on a private jet flying over it." A user fumed: "Access denied??? nobody asked for it in the first place.".
In December, Devon and Cornwall Police made a legal bid to seize money from Tate and brother Tristan. It came after they failed to pay a penny in tax on £21 million of revenue from their online businesses. The chief magistrate ruled police can seize more than £2 million from the brothers. In response, Tate said the ruling “is not justice” and is instead a “co-ordinated attack”.
Devon and Cornwall Police made a legal bid to seize the money, held in seven frozen bank accounts, from the Tates and a woman identified only as J. In his judgment handed down at Westminster Magistrates’ Court, chief magistrate Paul Goldspring said what appeared to be a “complex financial matrix” was actually a “straightforward cheat of the revenue”.
The court previously heard the brothers paid just under 12 million US dollars into an account in the name of J, and opened a second account in her name, even though she had no role in their businesses. Part of the money the force applied to seize was cryptocurrency held in an account in J’s name.
The Tate brothers were earlier accused of paying no tax in any country on their online business revenue between 2014 and 2022. Devon and Cornwall Police were looking to recover around £2.8 million in seven frozen bank accounts, an application that all three defendants had contested.
