Last week Apple teased that a special product launch was coming out way on Wednesday. CEO Tim Cook was typically tight-lipped about what's in store, simply saying 'Get ready to meet the newest member of the family' on social media platform X. This has had Apple fans scratching their heads about what Cook might be on about. But most of experts have their money on it being the launch of the new iPhone SE 4.
It is thought it will be a dramatic update of Apple's most affordable phone, with a new design and a bigger display. According to leaks, the iPhone SE 4 will feature a 6.1-inch OLED display with a notch cut-out at the top. We can also expect a new flat-edged design instead of the iPhone SE's current rounded edges. Other features expected also include. 8MP Camera. Recent rumours suggest the new phone won't be called the iPhone SE 4 at all but rather the iPhone 16E to reflect the dramatic overhaul. If true, this would mark the end of the iPhone SE line, which has served as Apple's budget offering since 2016. The move could indicate Apple's intention to bring its affordable iPhone into the flagship fold, both in terms of features and marketing.
However, that might not be all. According toe 9TO5Mac. other new products are close to being announced including the new M4 MacBook Air, an M3 iPad Air and a new 11th generation base model iPad. Some have even floated the idea that AirTag 2 could also be announced or even an all-new smart home hub. Other updates to devices such as the MacBook Pro, Mac Studio and Mac Pro are usually announced later in the year. The next iPhone won't be unveiled until the autumn.
