After bringing red carpet glamour at the BAFTAs on Sunday night, dozens of the biggest name in the business partied the night away at after parties across London. And while many opted for gorgeous gowns at the ceremony, after party outfits left something to be desired, with stars swapping glamorous award show ensembles for brash and garish looks. Among the stars was Laura Whitmore, who suffered a rare style misstep in gaudy red trousers and an ill-fitting nude corset.

Elsewhere, Alexa Chung, usually praised for her street style, headed on to the red carpet at the British Vogue x GQ BAFTA Fashion & Film Party at Tramp in silky blue pyjamas. Showing off her enviable pins, the model looked more like she was heading to bed than a big on the town, pairing the look with clear vinyl slip-on stilettos.

Alex Scott, who was joined by her girlfriend Jess Glynne,  at the same party took the double denim trend to the next level with a bizarre deep blue jumpsuit. The awkward fitting backless polo neck and flares were paired with stilettos in a fiddly fit that looked straight out of the nineties. The red and black number was paired with busy jewellery and gladiator sandals, which looked more appropriate for a summer festival than awards show. Meanwhile, Lily James, usually a style star, opted for a bold choice in Chanel short and a cropped suit jacket, which looked like a Gen Z take on Jackie Kennedy. Maisie Williams also headed to the GQ Party in a ballerina-inspired black dress with a drop waist and tutu-skirt.

In a rare fashion faux pas the TV personality, 37, bizarrely channelled classic Kylie Minogue from her 2001 Can't Get You Out Of My Head video, which has since become a Halloween costume staple. AJ slipped into the white hooded gown to hit the red carpet which boasted a daring thigh-high split and she teamed with a pair of matching white shoes.

Clara Paget also opted for some odd headgear wearing a white silk headwrap and kaftan. Meanwhile,  Hannah Dodd made an odd style choice adding a golden beaded statement belt to an otherwise sleek black gown. Molly-Mae also had another red carpet miss in a fussy suit dress, while David Tennant looked more like a wizard than a doctor in a sparkling suit.
