Since the start of The Traitors' third series, Minah Shannon was a fan favourite to make it to the final - until she was savagely backstabbed by fellow Traitor and remaining contestant Charlotte Berman in Wednesday night's episode. While viewers watched as Minah revealed herself to be a Traitor after being banished by the last contestants left, we didn't get to see the moment when Minah realised that Charlotte has been faking her Welsh accent throughout the whole competition. In an exclusive chat with The Mirror, Minah shared her initial thoughts about the lie - and how she "didn't understand" why Charlotte took it on.
"I found out once I was banished, that's how well she kept the accent up," Minah said. "Not once did I doubt that she wasn't Welsh. I found out with Joe, when we met up in the castle and obviously he finds out that I am a Traitor and we find out who the other Traitors are.".
She added: "That's when I found out she wasn't Welsh. I was so confused. I didn't understand the purpose behind it. Not only is she such a good Traitor, she can stay in character as a Welsh person for all these days. It's very impressive.". Wednesday night's episode saw Minah and Charlotte murder Joe Scott in the game, before Minah became the next contestant to be banished at the roundtable. Becoming the only Traitor left, Charlotte chose to recruit Freddie Fraser into the fold - laying groundwork for him to be found out after Leanne Quigley covertly shared with Charlotte, Jake Brown and Francesca Rowan Plowden that she had won an immunity shield in the last challenge.
