Nvidia's latest graphics cards have hit the market. The high-end RTX 5080 is available at various retailers, including Nvidia, Scan, Ebuyer, Overclockers UK, and more. Announced during CES 2025, Nvidia's highly-anticipated 50-series lineup of graphics cards is almost here, and according to the specs, they're packing some serious performance compared to the 40-series. With enhanced raw rendering performance and ray tracing capabilities while also featuring DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation, technologies that use AI to increase those sweet, sweet FPS numbers in some of the most graphically demanding triple AAA titles, like Cyberpunk 2077 and Black Myth: Wukong.
Although the Nvidia RTX 5080 isn't the top dog of the lineup, that spot is reserved for the RTX 5090; it's still a gaming and AI powerhouse, with 1801 AI TOPS (compared to the mere 780 in the RTX 4080), 5th generation tensor cores, 4th gen ray tracing cores and increased memory bandwidth. The GPU has an MSRP of £979 / $999 / AU$2,019, that only applies to the Founders Edition that you can get directly from Nvidia, with third-party versions of the card likely to cost more, particularly if they are overclocked.
