Donald Trump covered a number of topics in his inaugural address, but neglected to touch upon the concerns of one troubled Alabama football fan who called into CSPAN on Monday. The public-affairs cable network was airing scenes from the private ceremony inside the Capital Rotunda in Washington while doing their normal routine of taking calls from Republican and Democrat viewers.

‘Graham in Jersey City, New Jersey – Democrats line,’ the announcer said, yielding the airwaves to a new caller. ‘Hi, I want to wish everyone a happy MLK Day,’ the caller began. ‘Hope everyone is staying warm. A bit disappointed in how the election turned out. I think it would have been great to see a female President inaugurated today.’.

But Graham was less concerned with Kamala Harris’ defeat than the Crimson Tide’s exclusion from the ongoing college football playoff. ‘While I’m disappointed in the American people for their desire to see another four more years of Trump, I’m a little bit more disappointed in the selection committee for not picking Alabama for the college football playoff,’ Graham said.
