One of the world’s most famous psychics has predicted a grim future for Europe in 2025. Baba Vanga is a Bulgarian mystic who correctly predicted many past world events – the Chornobyl disaster in Ukraine, the death of Princess Diana, New York’s 9/11, and even her death on August 11, 1996, at the age of 85, her followers claim.

In January, we shared the list of her predictions for this year, including alien encounters and the end for Russian President Vladimir Putin. But she also predicted a war springing up in the East and bringing ‘destruction’ to the West. She said: ‘In the spring, a war in the East will begin and there will be a third World War. A war in the East that will destroy the West.’.

She also predicted that Vladimir Putin will become ‘lord of the world’, with Europe turning into a ‘wasteland’. As if the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine is not harrowing enough, she predicted that ‘Russia will not only survive, it will dominate the world’.

All of her predictions are taken with a pinch of salt, but it’s hard to deny the eerie similarities with the grim reality the world is facing now. Last week, Britain was warned it ‘must be ready to go to war with Russia’ if Putin continues to escalate.

Nostradamus also predicted that there would be a conflict in Europe this year. For those who have never come across her life story, she lived in Rupite, a small mountainous village to which various Eastern European and Soviet leaders trekked just for a chance to seek her wisdom.

Blind since early childhood, she was semi-literate in Bulgarian and although she did not record her prophecies, her followers wrote them down, later turning them into books. Nostradamus predicted that 2025 would see a ‘decrease in the influence of established Western countries’ and the ’emergence of new world powers’ as a prolonged conflict comes to an end with soldiers ‘exhausted’ by attritional warfare.

Tensions continue to rise around the globe, with the former UK defence secretary previously warning of four countries that could spark further conflict. Former Defence Secretary Grant Shapps said: ‘The era of the peace dividend is over,’ citing Russia, China, Iran and North Korea as potential flashpoints over the next five years.
