Rebel Wilson has legally married Ramona Agruma in Sydney, in a service that was officiated by Rebel's sister Liberty. The couple had previously had a lavish wedding ceremony on the Italian island of Sardinia in September. Pitch Perfect star Rebel announced she had gotten engaged to fashion and jewellery designer Ramona at Disneyland in February 2023.
In an Instagram post featuring photos of the couple posing by Sydney Harbour, Rebel wrote: “My sister Liberty officiated our legal wedding in Sydney! It meant my 94-year-old grandmother Gar could come which was very special to us to have her included and just felt right to do it in my hometown at this glorious time of the year!”.
The post also featured photos of the pair posing with Rebel’s grandmother and loved ones. Agruma shared similar posts on her Instagram page, writing: “Married officially in Australia to my Australian princess.”. Rebel wore a dusty pink ruffled dress for the occasion while Ramona donned a lacy white dress with cap sleeves. For their Sardinia ceremony, both brides opted for off-the-shoulder white gowns with Rebel styling her hair to the side in long flowy waves, while Ramona had an elegant up-do.
The Hollywood star has also revealed that there's a huge family rift that has meant she has not yet met Ramona's parents as yet. She has pointed to cultural differences as a reason, saying that not all of Romona's family are as accepting of them. She also states that Ramona's home country of Latvia hasn't progressed with views on same-sex relationships, unlike other parts of Europe.
