UFC president and CEO Dana White has condemned comments made by featherweight star Bryce Mitchell after the 30-year-old shockingly defended Adolf Hitler. Mitchell, ranked 13th in the featherweight division, said on his podcast that the German dictator was a "good guy" and that "the Holocaust ain't real". The American sensationally went on to make a range of antisemitic, homophobic and transphobic comments in a vile rant.
"I honestly think that Hitler was a good guy based upon my own research, not my public education indoctrination," he said on his show 'Arkansanity'. "I really do think before Hitler got on meth, he was a guy I'd go fishing with. He fought for his country." Mitchell then launched a disgusting rant where he made antisemitic and homophobic comments. When the American's co-host, Roli Delgado, replied that it was "bad to put a whole race into camps", Mitchell claimed that Holocaust 'ain't real'. The UFC fighter added: "That's what your public education will tell you Roli, because you believe your public education because you haven't done your own research. When you realise there's no possible way they could've burned and cremated six million bodies, you're gonna realise the Holocaust ain't real.".
White was quick to brutally condemn Mitchell's pro-Hitler comments, calling them "the dumbest, most ignorant" statements he has ever heard. The UFC chief addressed the issue at a Power Slap press conference, expressing disgust at the fighter's remarks whilst emphasising Hitler's responsibility for millions of deaths during World War II. "I've heard a lot of dumb, ignorant s*** in my day, but this one's probably the worst," White said. "When you talk about Hitler, who's responsible for the death of six million Jews, and he tried to completely eliminate a race of people.
"World War Two was the deadliest war in history: 15 million military deaths, 45 million civilians and 25 million soldiers were killed in World War Two. Second of all, Hitler is one of the most disgusting and evil human beings to ever walk the face of the earth, and anyone who even tries to take an opposing position is a moron. That's the problem with the internet and social media. You provide a platform for a lot of dumb, ignorant people.".
White added: "Out of all the dumb, ignorant s*** I've heard in my life, this has to be the dumbest and most ignorant." Despite the American's condemnation, Mitchell has - as of yet - faced no further action for his comments. Mitchell - who holds a professional record of 17-2 - was last seen in the cage back in December where he brutally knocked out Kron Gracie at UFC 301. The victory put the featherweight contender back in the win column following his devastating knockout defeat to Josh Emmett in 2023.
