DJ Fat Tony celebrated 18 years sober as he shared shocking throwback snaps from when he was battling drug addiction on Friday. The music star, 58, real name Tony Marnach, took to Instagram and opened up about his transformation, revealing he was once at 'death's door' during the height of his addiction.

Sharing the candid post with his Instagram followers, Tony wrote: '18 years ago I was on deaths door ravished by addiction waiting to die was all I had to look forward too. 'TODAY I celebrate 18 years of Recovery I have so much love and gratitude for everyone that has been a part of this journey so far.

Sharing the candid post with his Instagram followers, Tony wrote: '18 years ago I was on deaths door ravished by addiction waiting to die was all I had to look forward too. Tony discovered drugs when he was 18 and would convince himself that he couldn't DJ unless he was high, sometimes going four or five nights straight without sleeping.
