Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) has been confirmed as the first person to die following the Queen Vic explosion in EastEnders. At the end of yesterday’s episode, Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) pushed Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) into an oncoming car, being driven by Reiss.

The crazed character swerved to avoid hitting Ian, but ended up crashing into the pub. Due to the fact gas canisters were right by the vehicle, it wasn’t long until an explosion took place. In tonight’s episode, as the Walford residents attempted to help those stuck inside the boozer, Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) also went into labour.

Unfortunately though, Bianca and Grant failed to spot Reiss. He was in a bad way as a result of the crash, but managed to follow them to where Sonia and Lauren were. As Reiss backed away though, pieces of the roof started to fall on him. A bath fell through the floor and hit Reiss, killing him instantly. The episode ended with Sonia still in labour and stuck inside the pub. We know the always iconic Natalie Cassidy is leaving her role as Sonia soon. Will the character make it out of this ordeal alive?.
