It was a nail biting night in Albert Square on Tuesday night and as EastEnders prepares for its 40th anniversary week, there's drama left, right and centre. Spoilers for next week reveal not everyone makes it out the explosion at the Vic alive. Now, following a 'huge clue' on Tuesday night's episode fans think they know exactly whose time has come to an end. During the episode, the whole Square gathered in the Queen Vic to watch a old episode of Martin's dad Arthur Fowler starring in a game show back in the day. In the clip, which Ruby Allen had dug up, his late mum Pauline was also present.
Now, fans are certain the BBC soap are foreshadowing towards Martin's death. One wrote: "I feel like the whole Martin foreshadowing is a red herring it’s becoming TOO obvious now." A second wrote: "It’s going to be Martin or Ruby. Maybe Martin dies and it triggers Stacey’s Bipolar so she has to get admitted whilst Lacey’s on maternity leave? #EastEnders". A third echoed: "Pretty much convinced that Martin is going to die," as a fourth penned: "I don’t want Martin to he killed off cause he needs to grovel to Bianca for not believing her.".
In recent episodes, fans were also convinced the soap was 'hinting' towards Martin's death, as Honey ordered shots of Death Throes when celebrating the character getting his fruit and veg stall back. Martin Fowler first joined the soap in 1985, with current actor James Bye having played him since 2014. It's also all coming down for Reiss Colwell, as the truth has finally come out. Sonia now knows that Reiss was the one who killed his wife Debbie, and kept Bianca in the lock-up, forcing her to film the confession video.
After months in the lock-up Bianca finally escaped, after viewers saw Reiss leave the storage unit unlocked in a hurry to get to the hospital on Monday night. She made a return to the Square at the right time, after Sonia 'was in danger' with Reiss grabbing hold of her. Making her surprise return, after Reiss told Sonia she was dead, Bianca hit Reiss on the head with a tea pot, leaving him out cold.
However, when Jack went over, Reiss had made his escape, with the back door left open... Elsewhere, it looked like things were heating up for Priya and Ian - until the end of the episode when it was discovered she and Cindy were working together to 'expose' Ian. "Cause he's fallen for it," Priya could be heard saying to Cindy in the café. "This payout better be worth it." Continuing, Cindy said: "You find me that locket so I can prove Ian was the one who attacked me, and you can have everything we agreed.".
