EastEnders' Micah Balfour, known for his role as Junior Knight, has been at the centre of some big storylines in Albert Square since joining the BBC soap in May 2024. Junior, the alienated son of George Knight, arrived in Walford carrying a grudge and a bag full of secrets. His strained relationship with his father has been a breeding ground for drama, with startling revelations about their shared past shaking the Knight family.

As Christmas approaches, Junior may steal the spotlight in the highly anticipated EastEnders Christmas special. Teasers hint at a heated confrontation during the Knight family's holiday meal that could drastically change the family dynamics, potentially leaving Cindy (Michelle Collins) out in the cold.

With tensions reaching boiling point and unresolved issues brewing, we've taken a closer look at actor Micah and his life away from the cameras. Micah, originally from Peckham, first gained recognition for his portrayal of PC Benjamin Gayle in ITV's police drama The Bill, a character he embodied until the series concluded in 2010.

After The Bill, Micah appeared in the 2010 Christmas special of Doctor Who, playing the co-pilot. He starred alongside Matt Smith, who was the Time Lord at the time. The soap actor also had a run as Dr Jermaine Bailey in Emmerdale from 2015 to 2016, where he played the village doctor who found himself in hot water.
