Junior Knight’s (Micah Balfour) life in Walford has gone from bad to worse in EastEnders. The character arrived last year and was introduced as George’s (Colin Salmon) distant son. Away from their difficult relationship, Junior found time to flirt with the likes of Bianca (Patsy Palmer) and Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams) – despite literally having a wife and child.

When Monique discovered Junior’s betrayal, she decided to leave Albert Square with their boy Xavier. Shortly after Junior’s loss, his affair with Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) gathered pace. The two characters snuck around behind George and Ian (Adam Woodyatt) for months. As it continued, Junior started to develop genuine feelings for Cindy – which was a mistake.

The fallout saw Cindy attacked by a mysterious resident with a shovel. With the culprit not being revealed until next month, the Beales and Knights are continuing to clash with each other as accusations fly. Coming up, Anna (Molly Rainford) spots Gina (Francesca Henry) having another chat with Harry (Elijah Holloway) and remains deeply suspicious of her.
