EastEnders star Ross Kemp has teased what’s to come following the deadly Queen Vic explosion as he reveals whether or not fans can expect to see him in the live episode on Thursday (February 20).

Grant Mitchell and Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) will end their decades-long feud, for one!. Ross has revealed how the pair will be forced to team up to save the lives of the locals trapped inside the collapsing boozer in tonight’s hour-long episode. Following his return to Walford, Grant came face-to-face with old rival Bianca earlier this week, as she tore him off a strip for his treatment of his late wife and her best friend Tiffany Mitchell (Martine McCutcheon) back in the 90s.

But they will put the past behind them after Bianca asks Grant to help her get to pregnant sister Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy), who was in the Vic when a blast tore through it at the end of Tuesday’s episode. Appearing on This Morning, Ross told hosts Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond: ‘An unlikely friendship is formed at that point. They pal up, as it were. An unlikely coupling.’.

While Ross remained tight-lipped on whether Grant would enter the collapsing building, we already know that Bianca will manage to find a way inside, as Pasty Palmer previously confirmed her character will be there to help Sonia give birth in the middle of the disaster zone during Thursday’s live episode.

During his appearance on This Morning, Ross confirmed he would not be appearing in the live episode as he has already finished filming all of his return scenes as Grant, who makes his on-screen departure next week. He did, however, tease some intriguing developments ahead for Grant in tonight’s episode, admitting he’d filmed some emotional scenes of his character ‘crying on Bridge Street’.

With Grant last seen attempting to stop brother Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) taking his own life in The Arches, will Phil be ok?. Meanwhile, at least 22 characters’ lives are currently on the line following the deadly explosion that tore through the Vic, after Reiss Colwell’s (Jonny Freeman) car crashed into the Vic barrel store where gas canisters were being kept.

With one (or more!) character set to die, who won’t make it out of the ruins of the Vic alive?. EastEnders’ 40th anniversary week continues with an hour-long special tonight at 7.30pm on BBC One and iPlayer. This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV1.
