Elon Musk has made his thoughts very clear on procreation over the years – and most recently, reportedly welcomed another child to his brood as a father of 13. In a shocking claim last week, Ashley St Clair, a 26-year-old right-wing influencer, revealed that she’d allegedly given birth to the Tesla CEO’s 13th child. Making the announcement on Musk’s own platform, X, she wrote: “Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world.
“Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child's privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.”. She added: “I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honour our child's privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting.” She has since filed a court petition demanding full custody of the son, known only as R.S.C, and has requested Musk take a paternity test.
The court battle intensified last night after text messages were seemingly leaked to expose the influencer's 'pregnancy plot' against the billionaire, to which he simply responded: "Woah!" It comes after the tech mogul reportedly splashed out on a 14,400 sqft compound in Texas to accommodate his blended family.
According to those close to Musk, he sees his children living next door to one another so he can ‘schedule’ time with them efficiently around his busy schedule. Taking to X back in May 2024, he expressed his opinion on larger-than-usual families. “Just have kids one way or another or humanity will die with a whimper in adult diapers! I’m doing my best to encourage more people to become parents and ideally have three or more kids, so humanity can grow,” he wrote. Here, the Mirror takes a closer look inside Musk’s family tree….
Musk shares six children with his first wife, author Justine Wilson. The pair were married from 2000 and 2008. During that time, their first child Nevada Alexander was born in 2002. Tragically, he died from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) when he was only 10 weeks old.
Writing in an essay in Marie Claire in 2010, Justine opened up about her grief. She said: “I buried my feelings... coping with Nevada's death by making my first visit to an IVF clinic less than two months later. Elon and I planned to get pregnant again as swiftly as possible. Within the next five years, I gave birth to twins, then triplets.”.
Two years later, the pair welcomed twins Xavier and Griffin via IVF. But in 2022, Xavier, then 18, came out as transgender and confirmed they'd changed their name to Vivian Jenna Wilson. Last summer Musk had his 'son' had been "killed by the woke mind virus". Vivian responded by saying her father has no idea what she was like as a child as he "quite simply wasn’t there, and in the little time that he was, I was relentlessly harassed for my femininity and queerness.".
More recently, she has spoken about her future in the US. “I don't see my future in the United States. Even if [Trump is] only in office for four years, even if the anti-trans regulations magically don't happen, the people who willingly voted this in are not going anywhere anytime soon,” she wrote on Threads.
In 2006, the pair’s triplets, Kai, Saxon and Damian, were born. In a 2017 TedTalk, Justine revealed that they were conceived via IVF. In May 2020, Musk and his then-girlfriend Grimes shared the happy news that they’d become parents to a baby boy. Sharing the news on X, the Space X CEO said: “Mom & baby all good”.
Following the announcement, Musk shared the name of their son – revealing he was called X Æ A-Xii Musk. Both Elon and Grimes have discussed the pronunciation of their son’s name, with Grimes explaining on Instagram that it was pronounced: “just X, like the letter X, then A.I. Like how you said the letter A then I.” However, Musk appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast in which he said that the ‘Æ’ in his son’s name is pronounced “ash”.
Earlier this month, X Æ A-Xii, who Musk commonly refers to as X, stole the show when he appeared at a joint press conference from the Oval Office alongside his father and President Donald Trump. During the televised address, the three-year-old seemed to utter a remark while his father addressed journalists, prompting Trump to reach out in an attempt to hush him.
After a social media user told Grimes that X had been “very polite” while accompanying his father, she replied on X: “He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I'm glad he was polite. Sigh.”. Musk is also a father to twins Strider and Azure, whom he shares with Shivon Zilis, a senior executive at his AI company Neuralink. The twins were born in November 2021.
