A shocking row broke out aboard a train after a woman told an NHS dentist to "go back to your own country". The woman's behaviour left the victim and other passengers abhorred while on board an Avanti West Coast train from London to Manchester. It appears that the pair - who were facing each other on a four-person table section - got into an argument over having their feet to close to each other. The video was posted on TikTok by therealdrmero and shows the two-minute altercation. It begins with the woman telling the dentist to "go back to Morocco or Tunisia". The man, who filmed the video, tries to explain to the woman that he was born in the UK, but the woman hits back saying "It doesn't look like it". She is then pressed on whether she is British herself but she refuses to answer. The stunned man replies: "That is racist what you said, don't disrespect me like that. You probably weren't born here yourself.".
Fellow passengers can be heard later on in the video describing the comments as "disgusting". The man then informs her he's been recording the shocking outburst, to which she replies: 'Good, good, show it to the police - I have no regrets. Show it to the police, show it to the staff." A second video posted a woman being led away from the station by British Transport Police officers. A British Transport spokesperson said: “Officers received a text report to 61016 at about 11.45am on 3 February concerning racial abuse on a train from Euston to Manchester. Officers met the train at Stoke railway station and identified people in connection. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
