Helen Flanagan had a medical emergency that meant she rushed to the doctors in her pyjamas. The former Coronation Street actress, 34, revealed she was suffering with a "painful" heath condition and needing medical help. It came just hours after bravely opening up about her family fallouts, mental health as well as financial woes while admitting she once thought her children would be better without her.
Helen rushed to the doctors with a water infection on Friday and posted a photo from the waiting room. She wore pink fluffy pyjamas and shared: "Had to go to the doctors in my PJs. I have such a bad water infection. So painful x." According to the NHS, urinary tract infections (UTIs) affect your urinary tract, including your bladder (cystitis), urethra (urethritis) or kidneys (kidney infection).
UTIs may be treated with antibiotics, but they're not always needed. As 2024 came to an end, Helen decided to open up on her secret hardships following her devastating split from Scott Sinclair. She had been in a relationship with footballer Scott for over a decade and they welcomed three children together.
Following their split, Helen spiraled into a “very scary” psychotic episode while on her dream New Year’s break in Bali with their children Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and Charlie, three. Helen decided to give an update a year on as she shared: "This time last year: Christmas - I spent it in bed x i went to my mums for a few hours as my dad was calling me x.
"I said to Scott he could have the kids ( i live really north and he lives really south) because I wanted to take the kids to Bail for ten days for new year. So I knew I had to be fair. But it really hit me out of nowhere. I said to my friends before hand it’s just a day I’ll be fine. I had bad mental health.
