He was coming with another strong run only to have the door slammed in his face. By the time he had switched for another go at the leader, he was away and home. He takes on that horse – Annandale – again today and can turn that form around.

His last visit to Fakenham was a winning one and he gets on well with today’s rider. This trip suits on decent ground and he can add to his winning tally. MONSIEUR FANTAISIE (2.00 Southwell, treble). Threw in a rare poor run at Newcastle last time but is much better suited to this track. He has a fantastic Southwell record with two wins and two seconds from his four visits.
