A plane owned by Mötley Crüe's Vince Neil has crashed, killing one person. Two jets, both owned privately collided at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona on Monday, with four injured. Video footage captured at the airport showed multiple ambulances and fire engines on the airfield following the collision. It's believed that the aircrafts collided at around 2.39pm local time. The incident instantly caused the airport to go into emergency mode, with flights grounded in wake of the collision as the Federal Aviation Administration launched an instant investigation. But what do we know so far? According to local media, two people had been rushed to hospital.

Taking to the official Mötley Crüe social media, the band said: "Earlier today, a private plane owned by Vince Neil was involved in a crash near Scottsdale, AZ. The pilot was tragically killed; the co-pilot and other passengers were taken to local hospitals.

"Vince was not on the plane. Vince's girlfriend and her friend suffered injuries, albeit not life-threatening. While details are still emerging, our hearts go out to the families about the pilot who lost his life in the passengers who suffered injuries. Mötley Crüe will announce a way to help support the family of the deceased pilot -stand by for an announcement very soon.". Meanwhile, Vince's legal representatives, Worrick Robinson Law said that the musicians "thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved, and he is grateful for the critical aid of all first responders assisting today." The statement said: "At 2:39p.m. local time, a Learjet aircraft Model 35A owned by Vince Neil was attempting to land at the Scottsdale Airport.

"For reasons unknown at this time, the plane veered from the runway causing it to collide with another parked plane. On board Mr. Neil's plane there were two pilots and two passengers. Mr. Neil was not on the plane.More specific details regarding the collision are not available as this is a rapidly evolving situation and there is an ongoing investigation. Mr. Neil's thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved, and he is grateful for the critical aid of all the first responders assisting today.".

Although Vince was not aboard the jet at the time of the collision, his girlfriend Rain Andreani and her friend were. Rain, 43, is said to have suffered from five broken ribs after the crash. Meanwhile, her friend Ashley is said to have suffered from serious injuries and was taken to hospital, according to TMZ. The dogs that had been travelling with Rain and Ashley are also said to have survived the terrifying ordeal. However, the pilot of the Learjet aircraft Model 35A tragically died.

The jet owned by Vince veered off the runway due to a failed runway and collided with a Gulfstream 200 which was parked, according to Scottsdale Airport's aviation planning and outreach coordinator. Vince's aircraft had been arriving from Austin, Texas. The primary landing gear of the aircraft is believed to have failed. In a statement, the airport said: "An accident has occurred upon arrival to runway 21. The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed the incident: "A Learjet 35A veered off the runway after landing and crashed into a Gulfstream 200 business jet on the ramp at Scottsdale Municipal Airport in Arizona around 2:45 p.m. local time Monday, Feb. 10. We do not know how many people were on board. The FAA is temporarily pausing flights into the airport.".
