The 2024-25 Premier League season is heading quickly towards the home straight but there is still plenty of football to be played before the campaign comes to an end. Liverpool are dominating the division this season, with Arne Slot making a mockery of suggestions he could struggle with replacing iconic former Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.

The scrap for Champions League places looks set to be a lot more competitive than the Premier League title race, given how well Slot’s men are performing. Unlikely contenders are in the mix, with Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth still right in the fight to join European football’s top table.

However, they have some heavyweights to battle it out with, as Arsenal, Manchester City, Newcastle, Chelsea and Aston Villa are all still in the hunt. At the foot of the table there is the chance that the relegation dogfight could not amount to much and the three sides put down early on.
Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town look in big trouble, although 17th placed Wolves cannot count themselves as safe just yet. Most teams have played 26 Premier League matches so far this season so they have 12 games still to play. Liverpool and Aston Villa have played 27, so they have 11 matches still to come.
The next international break is scheduled from 17-25 March. Thomas Tuchel takes charge of England for the first time next month as he faces back-to-back World Cup qualifiers. First, the Three Lions take on Albania on 21 March and then host Latvia three days later, with both games at Wembley.
The following international break is in June, after the Premier League season ends. The final set of fixtures for the 2024-25 season will be played on Sunday 25 May. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video.
Up Next. The top four are currently guaranteed a place in next season’s Champions League, but it is looking very likely that fifth will also join Europe’s elite. English teams’ performances in Europe this season look set to be good enough to earn the extra Champions League spot for the next campaign.
There remains the possibility that this could change, but it would take a remarkable collapse from the Premier League sides currently left in the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League. Arrow MORE: Liverpool vs Newcastle: Latest team news, predicted lineups and injuries.
