I ordered from Uber Eats and received a note with a very bizarre request from the restaurant

An Uber Eats customer has revealed their shock after suffering a very unsettling experience during a recent delivery. Although having food brought directly to your door is more convenient than trudging to the restaurant yourself, there can be some added disadvantages. These often include long wait times and delivery fees as well as a tip for the driver. But one customer recently ran to Reddit's Mildly Infuriating thread to share their bizarre encounter.

Alongside a picture of a handwritten note, they explained, 'Third party food delivery services are not a good idea.'. The note itself read: 'Hi, your Uber Eats driver ate lunch in our store when your order was already ready to go. 'I've remade it fresh. Give him one star.'. The post, which has since been deleted from the platform, was met with commenters who were equally surprised by the driver's actions.

One customer recently ran to Reddit 's Mildly Infuriating thread to share their bizarre encounter. 'I get that everyone has to eat but maybe not take an order while you do so, or take your order to go along with the one you're delivering,' one person wrote. 'These drivers have the ability to literally make their own schedules too, I don't see why dude couldn't just finish an order and spend the next half hour eating before accepting another one,' another argued.

Some Reddit users admired the restaurant for alerting the customer and remaking their food from scratch. 'Why is no one talking about how nice the restaurant was though? They had no obligation to put in the extra time, money and effort but they still did to ensure the customer had a great experience,' a commenter raved. 'Driver is getting a one star but that place needs five stars and a tip on the next visit for sure.'.

Another wrote, 'I'd be mad at the guy that ate my food but I'd totally respect the restaurant for doing that.'. But this isn't the first time a delivery person has been caught doing something they shouldn't. Despite being a shocking act on the driver's part, Reddit users chimed in with even worse stories. Despite the convivence of third-party delivery drivers, there is also the hassle of long wait times, delivery fees, and tipping (stock image).

'I've had someone take a bite of my food. Like at that point just eat the whole thing.' one customer wrote. 'Had someone order from McDonald's over Christmas for everyone who was working. We watched FOR AN HOUR our Uber driver DRIVE PAST US and go all the way into town and stop where we assumed was his house with our food. 'Cancelled the order and got Deliveroo instead which showed up in 10 minutes,' they continued.
