I walked in on my dad having sex with my best friend

A YOUNG woman described her horror after walking in on her dad having sex. The situation was made even worse when she realised that her best friend was the one he was getting it on with. In her Reddit post, the unnamed user recounted the situation, which she said made her want "eye bleach.". She explained that her dad raised her as a single parent and described him as "pretty much the greatest dad in the universe.".

The poster revealed that her mum died for complications during childbirth so it had always been just the two of them. "He's my best friend, and we do everything together; hobbies, you name it," she said. She recalled how she brought three of her uni friends to her family's cottage for a weekend getaway. "The same weekend, my dad and his cousin were also up there fishing," she explained. She described the double booking as a "total coincidence" but added that the cottage is "really big" so there was "tonnes of room for everyone.".

"A good time was had by all until Saturday night when I woke up at like 4:00 AM to go to the bathroom, but noticed a light on downstairs, and heard people talking," the Redditor recalled. She said she decided to go see who was up and was greeted by the sight of her dad and her best friend having sex in the cottage's kitchen. "I freaked out, and ran back to my room, and I was crying," the Redditor said.

Her dad followed her to her room and explained that he and her friend had been seeing each other behind her back for "over a year.". He told his daughter that her friend had initiated it, adding that they had never done anything before when she was around. She explained that she had her friend had "been very close for years" since meeting at university and "always had each other's backs and been 100% honest with each other.".

The poster also added that her friends "always tell me my dad is attractive.". Her dad offered to end the relationship if it made his daughter feel "too uncomfortable" but added that he "really likes" her friend. The poster decided to drive home alone the next day and avoided speaking to either her dad or friend since, explaining that she was "too weirded out.".
