A self-confessed 'trad-wife', a woman who practices and believes in traditional gender roles and marriages, has shared an insight into her daily life - and what it's like to obey her husband's every desire. Estee Williams, 26, from Virginia, America, has dedicated her life to making sure her husband's daily routine runs smoothly.
This includes taking responsibility for the cooking, cleaning, and other household chores. She also doesn't venture outside without her husband's consent and avoids being outside alone on an evening. But while some argue her lifestyle is "limiting" and "outdated", others believe she has every right to live a traditional lifestyle as long as she is happy with it.
In a TikTok video, she explained the "conventional and unconventional" things she and her husband do in their marriage, starting with "not leaving home after dark". She said: "Anything that needs to be done outside the home can be done during daylight.
"I always ask my husband before I leave home and arrive places as well as share locations. I'm safest at home and with my husband This is all about safety." When she is outdoors alone, she avoids unnecessary male contact as it could be seen as disrespectful to her husband.
She added: "No opposite sex friendships. This is disrespectful to your partner and opens doors for comparison and affairs to happen. Any friendship needs I get from women and my family." While acknowledging it may "ruffle a few feathers", she admits to submitting and serving her husband on his terms - with him justifying this with a bible quote.
