A INFLUENCER has been arrested at an airport after shooting a firework through a child's bedroom window on New Year's Eve. Atallah Younes, 23, was detained at Berlin's Willy Brandt on Saturday as he tried to flee the city following the shocking act. The arrest comes after the video blew up in Germany - with Younes then claiming he was the victim of racist attacks.

The Palestinian has some 300,000 followers on Instagram and had regularly posted his trip - which he appeared to enjoy. But, on New Year's Eve Younes, from Nablus in the West Bank, posted a video of himself shooting a firework through a bedroom window.

In the clip, which received 10,000,000 views before Younes deleted it, the influencer can be seen lighting the firework and firing it at an apartment building in the suburb of Berlin-Neukölln. The rocket flies through a dark window on the third floor before the room lights up in yellow and orange.

That window belonged to a child's room - with the cracker exploding inside in a bright orange and red blast and the room then catching fire. Luckily, there was no kid in the room at the time of the explosion. In a follow-up video, Younes went to the apartment and apologised to the homeowner telling him he didn't know how the rocket would fly and that he didn't mean for it to happen.
