ITV were forced to apologise after Plymouth defender Nikola Katic swore in his post-match interview following his side's incredible win against Liverpool. Plymouth, who are bottom of the Championship, stunned Premier League leaders Liverpool with a 1-0 victory at Home Park. Ryan Hardie scored the only goal of the game with a penalty, with Katic playing a key part in proceedings. Katic, 28, was making just his second appearance for Plymouth since joining on loan from Zurich.

The Bosnia international couldn't hold back his delight after the game as he swore twice in quick succession. ITV presenter Mark Pougatch quickly apologised for the 'industrial language' that was used. ITV had to apologise after Plymouth's Nikola Katic (R) swore in his post-match interview. Speaking on ITV, when asked to describe how he was feeling after the win, Katic said: 'F*****g hell, I f*****g love it'. 'That's why I came here. I remember when I came the first day with the new coach, energy and everything. It's a beautiful day for everyone and it's good to get the confidence from this but we have a hell of a job to work on in the future.'. Asked what the key was to his side's victory, Katic praised coach Miron Muslic as he said: 'Defensive structure, everyone gave 150 per cent. We respect what the coach asked from us.'.

Katic, who played for Rangers between 2018 and 2022, joked that he hated Plymouth goalkeeper Conor Hazard when he first arrived at the club. Hazard, who was previously at Celtic, made some crucial saves as Plymouth secured a memorable victory. Katic said 'First when I came I hated him because he's a Celtic guy and I'm a big Rangers guy but at the moment we are good and I like to play with him. He gave us this win today.'.

Hazard was full of praise for Katic's display against Liverpool. He said: 'What a performance, he's been instrumental since he's come into our squad. He's made such a massive difference and we're lucky to have him.'. Plymouth goalkeeper Conor Hazard made some superb saves as his team pulled off a shock. Hazard said: 'What an atmosphere. We didn't expect that this morning, we knew it was going to be tough but the boys were brilliant today. Thank God for every single one of them.
