The former United and Nottingham Forest player seemed to quickly adapt to a new country and culture, with Seoul coach Kim Gi-dong insisting he had become a 'true Korean'. However, despite the recent change in life, Lingard was recently slammed for his time at Old Trafford, with some fans even blaming him for the 'destroyed culture' in the Manchester side. It all started when, under an X video recalling a famous goal scored by Lingard in the Red Devils' shirt in the 2025-16 campaign, a fan replied: 'Him, Pogba and Rashford destroyed the culture even Rooney admitted.

Another fan entered the conversation: 'You made us play well which some dumb b*****ds that “support” this club don’t like because you dance and have fun'. The Englishman completed his surprise exit from United in the summer of 2022 with a free transfer to Nottingham Forest. The Premier League side offered him a £200,000 deal, despite the fact that Lingard later made only 20 appearances with two goals and two assists. He was often criticised for his performance at Old Trafford, having a turbulent time towards the end of his United career. His behaviour with Paul Pogba was recently pointed out by club's legends Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand.

Lingard had a turbulent time towards his United exit, as he joined Nottingham Forest over a free transfer in the summer of 2022. In February last year, the former Red Devils star completed his surprise transfer to Korean side FC Seoul. Despite a complicated career start, Lingard managed to turn things around, becoming a key player for FC Seoul. The former centre back added that he called up ex-team-mate Rooney after being left amazed by Lingard and Pogba's behaviour following their dancing video despite the club being sat in sixth place. United's legendary boss Ferguson also previously outlined the importance of controlling the dressing room amid the team's disappointing results in recent years. He hinted that clubs who change their managers too often lose control of the team. Meanwhile, Ruben Amorim is United's sixth manager since Ferguson's departure in 2013.

However, now, in another country and continent, Lingard has not appeared since last year because the South Korean league ends its campaign at the end of November. After an initial period of struggles in Seoul FC, he managed to turn things around and became the team's captain on various occasions. Earlier, the player praised his new manager and highlighted his love for the country. He said: 'Coach Kim Gi-dong is someone who has a great understanding of football. He leads the team according to a clear plan.

'The K-League is gathering more fans. I hope that everyone in the football industry, including the coaching staff, players, and front office, will not be satisfied with this atmosphere and continue to move forward. Meanwhile, another player accused of damaging the team's culture, Marcus Rashford, moved to Aston Villa to restart his career.
