A skin from a previous questline has returned to the game in an Item Shop bundle, and players finally have the chance to scoop up the cosmetics they might have missed out on. Fortnite shocked players when it revealed its major Battle Pass skin rule changes, allowing cosmetics to come to the Item Shop down the road after their seasons had concluded; but ultimately, it was probably a good idea. After all, the game has had too many Battle Passes stuffed with iconic cosmetics that have been lost to time, and at least this way Epic Games can keep offering some of its best items going forward, especially after we now have a Godzilla secret skin and the current Chapter 6 Season 1 Battle Pass featuring the appearance of Pixar’s Baymax as a skin.
It’s lucky, too, as Fortnite is happy enough to offer some charming skins in its item shop, with the Doughberman skin and even the Dreamer skin from DC making an appearance after a long-time absence. Plus, with the Item Shop offering the return of She-Venom and Agony in the Symbiotes bundle, it’s a big day to be getting stuck into a cosmetic sweep. It seems that a new kind of return has arrived today, though, as after a free cosmetic drive took place for players getting stuck into the returning mobile version of Fortnite, the cosmetic collection has arrived for purchase, in case players missed their chance to bag the package of items. Here’s what you need to know about the Katalina Fortnite skin, and how you can get your hands on her cosmetic bundle.
The Katalina Fortnite skin has arrived in the Item Shop for the very first time after standing as the reward for the Chapter 5 Season 4 Fortnite Mobile App rewards after players could once again download Fortnite on iOS and Android. She has made it to the shop as part of the Feline Fandom set, featuring a mass of cosmetics. The Katalina Fortnite skin Feline Fandom set contains the following, for 1,600 V-Bucks:.
Katalina Outfit – 800 V-Bucks. Katalina’s Kit Bag Back Bling – 400 V-Bucks. Kat Claws Pickaxe – 800 V-Bucks. Tactical Kat Wrap – 500 V-Bucks. It’s a pretty good deal to get a skin for only 800 V-Bucks, but if you want to bag the full collection from an empty wallet, your best bet is to purchase a pack of 2,800 V-Bucks from the in-game store, which will run you £17.49 / $22.99 / AU$30.35. At least you’ll have a handful of V-Bucks left over to scoop up some other cosmetics.
The Katalina Fortnite skin does have to leave the Item Shop at some point, though, and it will do so at 4pm PST / 7pm EST on Wednesday, February 5 and 12am GMT on Thursday, February 6 for players in the UK. We don’t yet know when Katalina will return to the Item Shop again, but we can’t imagine it’ll be any time soon. You haven’t got long to get Katalina and her iconic Kit Bag in your locker, so do it quickly if you’re not quite slaying enough in Fortnite, both literally and figuratively. We expect to see a lot of Fortnite Katalina skins on the battlefield in the meantime.
