Liverpool have slight injury concerns heading into their Premier League trip to Aston Villa on Wednesday. Table topping Liverpool beat Wolves 2-1 on Sunday to maintain their seven-point lead over Arsenal but will surely face a much more difficult task against Unai Emery’s side later this week. Arne Slot could be without Cody Gakpo for the trip to Villa Park, too. Gakpo is a doubt for the Villa game, having sat out of the win over Wolves due to a knock sustained against Everton.
Joe Gomez is expected to miss the trip to Villa Park too, having come off injured during Liverpool’s shock FA Cup defeat at Plymouth. Tyler Morton is the only other injury concern at this stage, although Curtis Jones is suspended following his red card in the Merseyside derby.
