A person has been hit by a train causing major disruption to services in and out of London King’s Cross. Dozens of trains are either delayed or cancelled, with the affected operators including Lumo, LNER, Thameslink, Great Northern and Grand Central. National Rail says the disruption is expected to last until 3pm. Meanwhile, a fault with the signalling system at London Blackfriars means that fewer Thameslink services are able to run across the network.

Follow the latest updates below. If you've been affected by what happened on the network, there is always someone to talk to. You can contact the Samaritans on 116 123 from any phone for a confidential chat. All northbound lines are currently closed out of Kings Cross St Pancras on Friday morning. The disruption comes after a person was hit by a train between London and Cambridge / Peterborough. Southbound services are running slowly and no trains are stopping at Stevenage.
