Nothing beats the comfort of a steaming bowl of pasta paired with garlic bread when hunger strikes, promising a satisfying meal. Most of us have some pasta and sauce stashed in their kitchen cabinets because not only is the dish simple to prepare, it's also affordable. Many opt for store-bought garlic bread to go with their pasta, but crafting your own at home can be a breeze. And let's not forget, garlic does wonders for our immune system, especially during this season.

Even if you don’t have any regular bread on hand, those tortillas sitting in your cupboard can be transformed into delectable garlic flatbreads in mere moments, taking just four minutes to crisp up in the air fryer. Lifestyle influencer Matila Relefors, better recognised by her handle @brunchingblonde, is all about introducing her followers to amazing eateries and whipping up simple recipes at home.

In a recent reveal, she explained how to make makeshift garlic bread using a tortilla for those who invariably have a stash of wraps in their freezer. "If you're craving garlic bread, but you don't have bread, just use a tortilla," she advised. Lay out a tortilla flat, slather one side generously with butter, then finely mince a garlic clove, taking a pinch of the golden bits to scatter across the buttery surface.

For an additional burst of taste, chop fresh chives and sprinkle them over as well. Crank the air fryer to 180C, slide the tortilla in, and let it bake for four minutes. Once done, with the edges crisped to a golden hue, slice it into four even triangles. Pair it with your pasta favourite, dig in, and savour every bite.
