The 83-year-old lifestyle guru was speaking with The Last Showgirl star about her career renaissance at age 57 for Elle magazine. During the chat, Stewart whose life was covered in a popular Netflix documentary Martha, revealed she was writing her life story.

'I’m writing an autobiography right now. Wait until you do that!' she told Pamela. 'I’ve waited completely. Boy, I’m having fun,' she added. Martha Stewart, 83, took a sly swipe at Barbra Streisand 82, when she revealed she was working on her memoir. 'It’s a huge challenge to do that and not be Barbra Streisand with 900 pages. I don’t want it to be long and boring,' she said with a laugh.

Stewart and Streisand have crossed paths in their lives, the so comment may have been in jest. Indeed, the length of Streisand's tome did not prevent fans from grabbing some 3,000,000 copies of My Name is Barbra in the first week. Thus far, Stewart has published 100 books focused on cooking, gardening and more, but declared she wants to be open about her life.
