SHE'S 82 but boasts a fresh-faced visage most women half her age would be jealous of. And you can forget having to splash out on pricey injections or surgery, as one woman has shared her top tips to stay looking young - and they're either free or very affordable. Personal stylist Courtney Blood took to Instagram to share a video of her mother, as she explained she's adopted some of her suggestions so that she can hopefully age just as gracefully.

"I want to age like my 82-year-old mum, so these are the four changes I made," Courtney wrote over the top of the Reel. She went on to reveal she's given up alcohol and is doing much more home cooking, as well as returning to running and using her mum's budget beauty essential - Nivea Creme. "I get asked what my 82 year old mum’s secrets for aging are," Courtney captioned the Reel. "8 months ago, I made 4 lifestyle change to adopt her habits and see what would happen.

"Mum’s never been a model, but this week she had her first photo shoot.". Courtney also hit back at rumours her mum has had plastic surgery, as she said she has never been under the knife. She then added in another comment: "I have never done this before, but getting lots of comments about plastic surgery. "Mum hasn’t had a facelift or neck lift (nothing wrong with them). I think she look amazing, but we also had a great make-up artist and beautiful clothing.

"The post is about the simple and cost saving lifestyle changes I made because she inspired me to make them.". Courtney concluded that since adopting her mum's routine, she feels "so much better and motivated to keep going". "Genes are definitely in your favour!" one person wrote in the comments section. "Can I ask what her skincare routine involves?". "Sorbolene as cleanser, Nivea (blue tin) twice a day, suncreen and hat," Courtney replied, calling it "simple and consistent".

"Does she use the blue tin no on her face? I use it on my hands but I’m thinking of trying it on my face now," someone else asked. "We both use on our face. It’s super rich and takes time to absorb," Courtney responded. A study published in the Asia Pacific Journal of Clinical Nutrition suggests that turmeric and curcumin may help prevent DNA damage and aid in DNA repair. This is promising news for disease prevention and slowing the ageing process. It also:.

Boosts Collagen Production: Collagen is a protein that maintains the skin's elasticity and firmness. As we age, collagen production decreases, leading to wrinkles and sagging skin. Turmeric helps stimulate collagen synthesis, thereby promoting firmer and more youthful skin. Improves Skin Health: Turmeric has been shown to improve various skin conditions, such as acne, psoriasis, and eczema. Its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties help soothe the skin, reduce redness, and promote a clearer complexion.

"Oh my goodness I thought I was the only one!" a third wrote. "That Nivea hits different and I’ve just always loved the smell!". "Beauty is ageless and does not have to cost the earth," someone else said. "We do need to look after ourselves though for sure!. "I’m an Oil of Olay girl as my 80-year-old grandma used it everyday and had beautiful skin.". "She is wonderful!" another praised. "Not even how pretty she looks, but I think about her personality and attitude towards the world and herself.
