On March 6, Primark Home will officially open its doors to the public in the city centre. The 8,700-square-foot Donegall Place store is sure to make any Primark fan go weak at the knees as home decor and lifestyle offerings galore fill the shelves. From scented candles to bedding sets with abstract prints, the stock can be found at the Fountain House building, just over 100 yards from the flagship Bank Buildings store.

As the brand continues upscaling and cementing its status as a go-to for millions of shoppers, the expansion marks a huge milestone for Primark. It comes after Primark first began growing its homeware collections across global stores in 2021, selling modern soft furnishings and unique decorative pieces that stand out against a saturated market.

But if you thought you’d seen it all, think again, because Fountain House will stock an even greater selection of items to allow interior fanatics to personalise their cosy spaces and inject character. Currently, Primark stocks reed diffusers for as little as 80p, while towels can be found for £1.80.
They also sell quality duvet sets around the £20 mark and quirky mugs for £3.50. In terms of larger furnishings for those willing to spend a bit more but avoid going overboard, storage benches are available for £50 while side tables are £45. Fintan Costello, Head of Primark Northern Ireland and Ireland, said of the news: ‘This is a truly proud moment for Primark as we open our first standalone Primark Home store.
‘Belfast felt like the perfect place to bring this concept to life, and Fountain House offers an incredible setting in the heart of the city centre to showcase our expanded homeware range. ‘Our Home collection has always proven to be a real hit among our Belfast customers and we can’t wait to welcome them into our very first Primark Home store.’.
Northern Ireland already boasts nine other Primarks, one of which was situated in Fountain House itself from 2019 to 2022. The building then underwent renovations. And the good news doesn’t end there, because the opening of Primark Home also allows for the expansion of the existing kids section in the Bank Buildings store.
Menswear is also getting some special treatment, which will be moved to its own dedicated space on the top floor. Do you have a story to share?. Get in touch by emailing MetroLifestyleTeam@Metro.co.uk. Arrow MORE: 9 European airports closest to their city centres — one is in walking distance.
