As the nation settled down on Tuesday evening to tune in to Princess Kate ’s annual Christmas carol concert Together at Christmas, all eyes were on the Princess of Wales and her family as she put a difficult year behind her and focused on the future in a heartfelt celebration of all things festive.
The event, which is the fourth carol concert hosted by Kate, marked a welcome return to form for the senior royal, who this year briefly stepped away from the public spotlight to focus on her cancer recovery and treatment after being diagnosed with an undisclosed form of the illness at the start of the year.
Supported by all three of her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis for the occasion, it was Princess Charlotte that truly stole the show, when her heartwarming reaction to the service was caught on camera for the world to see. During the service, the nine year old channelled her mother’s sense of duty and compassion as she sweetly assisted both of her brothers to light their candles, before truly letting the magic of Christmas brighten her face as she was enchanted by a ballet performance mid-way through.
