The UK's most outrageous and sordid sexual fetishes have been revealed - as some unusual new tastes appear to be on the rise. Research commissioned by leading sex and relationship expert Rachel Thompson suggests that more daring fantasies such as dogging and cottaging are seeing a decline among the sexually active population - and they're being replaced by some very kinky alternatives.

Thompson's research - in conjunction with a sex positive platform called Sensuali, analysed 160 million Google searches over the last five years, revealing the growth and decline of more than 100 key kinky words during that time period. According to the findings, searches for the word 'dogging' - engaging in or watching sexual activities in public places, usually involving strangers - had declined significantly over the last five years, down by 34 per cent.

Another trend falling out of popularity is 'sploshing' - playing with messy food substances - which has declined by 54 per cent in searches. However, the most dramatic decline was in searches for the term 'cottaging' - engaging in sexual activities in public restrooms or secluded outdoor areas - for which searches dropped by 70 per cent.
Meanwhile, some more obscure fantasies and fetishes are now on the rise. The number of searches for a fantasy called 'vore', which involves fantasising about being consumed whole or consuming someone else whole have increased in recent years (stock image).
