Superstar couple Rihanna and A$AP Rocky must have been hungry after they left court on Friday. The couple were pictured leaving the rapper's trial in Los Angeles, where he is facing two felony charges of assault with a semiautomatic firearm after being accused of firing a gun at friend and former collaborator, A$AP Relli, near a Hollywood hotel in 2021. If convicted, he faces up to 24 years in prison. The rapper denies the charges.

Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, looked world's away from his usual edgy style as he dressed for the occasion in a smart blue stripe shirt and tie and black trousers, which he paired with a black leather jacket as he exited the courthouse. While partner of four years RiRi - who he shares sons RZA, two, and 16-month-old Riot with - donned an oversized grey suit she accessorised with a brown and yellow scarf and black split-toed shoes.

Locking arms in a show of solidarity, the loved-up pair, both 36, were then seen getting into a waiting SUV with blacked out windows before pulling up to the drive thru at American fried chicken outlet Chick-fil-A. Rihanna's eyes could be seen just above the window as she wound it down to place their order. Rocky, sitting next to her, was seen smoking. It comes after chaotic scenes played out in the courtroom earlier in the day when Rocky interrupted his trial. At the time his pal A$AP Twelvyy was on the stand as prosecutors showed him a photo of Rocky's bedding with the letters 'AWGE' emblazoned on it. As Twelvyy was asked what the letters stood for, Rocky could be heard saying, "Don't say!" according to reports by TMZ. Despite asking the witness to be more forthcoming, Twelvyy would only tell the court: "It means AWGE.".

Though the meaning of it hasn't been publicly revealed, AWGE is a creative agency Rocky formed in 2014. On the agency's 'About' page on the website it says the rules are: "#1 Never reveal what AWGE means, #2 When in doubt always refer to rule #1.". Rocky is pals with Twelvyy through his connections with New York-based rap collective A$AP Mob. The man he is accused of shooting, A$AP Relli - whose real name is Terell Ephron - was once part of the same group. The pair are said to have gone to high school together.

Their friendship is said to have turned sour as Rocky's career took off and he became famous, which led to a disagreement between the pair in November 2021. This is when Rocky is accused of pulling out a gun and firing multiple times. One bullet is said to have grazed Relli's knuckles. In 2022, Rocky was arrested at a Los Angeles airport as he and Rihanna returned from a trip to her native Barbados. He denies the charges with his lawyer claiming the weapon used was a 'prop gun' that was incapable of firing real bullets. Rocky has already turned down a plea offer of a six-month jail term, with a seven-year suspended sentence and three years of probation. The trial is expected to conclude next week.
