Sad Emmerdale video shows heart-wrenching Leyla moment

Trainee medic Jacob was on shift as the casualties from this week’s ice lake crash accident were brought in, though sadly there wasn’t good news about his mum. He rushed to be by her side, and cradled her body, begging medics to act quickly and save her. Unfortunately, she had already died on route to Hotten General Hospital.

She was one of three locals to lose their lives after their limousine teetered on the edge of a frozen body of water. As the news spread around, their nearest and dearest at the hospital and back at the village there were shocked and distraught reactions.

The legendary Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) then delivered a poignant monologue, reflecting on the deaths of Leyla, Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson) and Suzy (Martelle Edinborough). We also know that more devastation is still to come – as another body – believed to be Nate Robinson (Jurrell Carter), was spotted by Amy beneath the surface.

As the spoiler video shows, next week’s scenes will see everyone come together to pay tribute. Vicar Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) can be seen making the final preparations in the village hall, as his mother Claudette (Flo Wilson) looks at the floral arrangements.

As she tells her son that the three women were too young to die, an anxious Jacob walks in. Both are lost for words, unable to comprehend what to say to the grieving youngster. Holding a picture of Leyla, he admits that he had to ask Eric to choose it as he can’t face returning to their family home.
