Is there a doctor in the house? 2024 may have been the year of men in finance, but in 2025 it is time to get serious about healthcare. According to a new study by dating app The League, thousands of people have deemed workers in healthcare the sexiest singles - with doctors, nurses and therapists the hottest careers of the year.

The survey, conducted by Talker, polled 2,000 single men and women, aiming to find the most dateable. Of those surveyed, 29 percent of men and women agreed that people working in healthcare make the best partners. Over a quarter of respondents said doctors are the most attractive career for a partner, while nurses ranked third with 22 percent.
Despite last summer being spent looking for men in finance, just under a fifth of women are still looking for a finance bro. The most dateable jobs for both genders include lawyers, scientists, pharmacists, and tech - specifically web or software developers.
While careers in education ranked as the second most attractive overall - men were more likely to find women working in education more desirable than women find it in men. A large percentage - 44 percent - would prefer to date someone whose career ambition is the same as their own, with 34 percent are looking for someone who is even more ambitious. Pay day also comes into consideration, with 39 percent of respondents admitting that they would like to earn the same amount as their partner. Interestingly, this was more common in the women who were surveyed, with 45 percent of women preferring it to be equal, while only 33 percent of men felt the same.
