Emmerdale’s Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay) only knows that her granddad Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day) has disappeared. At this point in time, she has no idea she’s been murdered, but she’s not far off finding out. After Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) suffocated her dad and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) disposed of his body, they fobbed Steph off by telling her Anthony had skipped town.

But Steph didn’t buy it. She just couldn’t believe he would run without saying goodbye. She also became increasingly concerned when she learned he had missed his life-extending hospital appointments. The police shared her concern and began escalating the case – starting with raiding Cain Dingle’s (Jeff Hordley) garage after believing he was the last one to see Anthony.

She is not letting sleeping dogs lie. While it’s perfectly plausible Anthony would pack up and leave at a moment’s notice, Steph won’t accept it because she has no idea he’s a paedophile – and that he’s really her biological dad. In truth of course, he is dead, having been threatened by Caleb, beaten by Aaron, murdered by Ruby, and disposed of by John.

He sure as heck isn’t coming back. But Steph – like a dog with a bone going after whoever is responsible – has no idea her parents are the guilty ones. She is not giving up the fight. The four involved in Anthony’s death call an emergency crisis meeting and are less than enthused when they learn Caleb tried to frame Cain. There’s dissidence amongst the ranks.

While Caleb might argue that he wasn’t acting with a clear mind, the others are now petrified of his huge mistake. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers?
