WWE legend Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is set for a major return that strongly hints at a dream match ahead of WrestleMania 41. The Rock, 52, is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time and among the biggest stars in Hollywood. And Johnson could be set for one more match at WrestleMania in April at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

The People's Champion and WWE strongly hinted at that when it was announced that he will be making a surprise appearance tonight on SmackDown at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. WWE Chief Content Officer and fellow WWE legend Paul 'Triple H' Levesque hinted The Rock will change the course of the road to WrestleMania with a major announcement.

Triple H said: "Strap in. When The Final Boss shows up at this time of year, the audience knows absolutely anything is possible. Everything could change in an instant.". The Rock insists he means business on SmackDown with a bold tweet on social media. The Final Boss hasn't been seen on WWE TV since NXT: New Year's Evil on January 7, a day after another appearance on RAW's premiere episode on Netflix.

The Rock tweeted on Thursday: "Bold and disruptive. Unpredictable and dangerous. The Final Boss returns, LIVE on #SmackDown tomorrow at 8ET/7CT on @USANetwork.". The 10-time world champion made a stunning return to the ring at WrestleMania 40 when he teamed up with cousin Roman Reigns and defeated Seth Rollins as well as current WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.

Reigns and The Rock were supposed to face off at last year's WrestleMania but a massive fan backlash led to a change of plans as the former fought and lost to Rhodes instead on night two. The cousins met in the ring on RAW's first ever episode on Netflix after Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa to regain the title of Tribal Chief.
