New research has found that shoppers have the best overall experience when getting their groceries and more from the supermarket chain, with key factors such as in-store cafes, 24-hour opening times, and accessibility being measured. Sainsbury’s was victorious, with a score of 42.7 out of 60, thanks to its ‘diverse range of stores’ (there are more than 1,400 across the UK) and products, plus its SmartShop service.
The Customer Satisfaction Index, created by Wethrift, also revealed that the supermarket has the second-best loyalty scheme with Nectar earning a score of 6.9/10.This was calculated by analysing the scheme’s return on spend, biggest reward potential, additional benefits, ease of use, and program flexibility.
Sainsbury’s website earned the retailer some points as well, with a load speed of just 2.6 seconds. This ensures customers can browse, search, and complete online purchases quickly and efficiently, minimising delays and frustrations. The fast website speed also makes it easier to book delivery slots and access essential information.
