Viral boxing ring girl Sydney Thomas has opened up on the struggles of adjusting to life in the public eye after becoming an internet sensation at the end of 2024. Thomas' fame skyrocketed when she worked as a ring girl for the controversial Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight back in November, with the stunning influencer being crowned as the 'real winner' by fans after the bout failed to live up to the hype.

She has since been thrust into the spotlight as her popularity continues to soar, attending a host of high-profile events - including the Grammys earlier this month. And on the back of her viral Paul vs Tyson appearance, Sydney - who now has over a million followers on TikTok - is in New Orleans this weekend for the Super Bowl. The 27-year-old stopped to speak to DailyMail.com at a Sports Illustrated event ahead of Sunday's game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, admitting her newfound fame has been 'overwhelming'.

'I get people coming up to me now and asking for pictures, that's been an adjustment for me,' she said. 'It's weird walking around in public now and getting recognized. Sydney Thomas has opened up on the struggles of adjusting to her new life in the public eye. The viral boxing ring girl described it as 'overwhelming' in an interview with DailyMail.com. 'I never really thought that's a position I'd be in. It's great but it's also a bit overwhelming.'.

Thomas has returned to ring-girl duties since the contentious fight between Paul and Tyson in November, yet as a social-media star the opportunities for her going forward could be endless. As well as continuing her relationship with Jake and his Most Valuable Promotions outfit, she has ambitious plans to become a presenter some day in the future. When asked what could be next in the pipeline for her, Thomas said: 'I want to continue working in the sports section of things. I'm obviously gonna continue working with Jake Paul's promotional team MVP doing boxing matches, and then I don't know.

'Potentially broadcasting... I like being on camera, so any on-camera work.'. As for who she's backing to win the Super Bowl, Thomas wants the Chiefs to come out on top given she is from St. Louis, Missouri. She also plans to get in and amongst it with Kansas City fans outside the Superdome. Thomas has ambitions to venture into broadcasting amid her soaring popularity online. 'I think I'm gonna go to a tailgate before hand and then go to the game,' the influencer revealed.

Sydney crossed paths with another social-media superstar in New Orleans this week after meeting LSU gymnastics and TikTok sensation Olivia Dunne. The pair posed for a selfie together the night before the Super Bowl which sent fans wild online, with Thomas captioning it: 'Solving world hunger'. Dunne also revealed to DailyMail.com that she will be rooting for the Chiefs on Sunday night, mainly due to her love for Taylor Swift.
