Kendrick Lamar's outfit for the Super Bowl 2025 halftime show on Sunday night was packed full of Easter eggs. The rapper, 37, took to the stage at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, during the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles showdown, bringing out a slew of special guests out with him, including SZA and Serena Williams. While his show was dripping with secret messages, including digs at President Donald Trump and Drake, Kendrick's outfit was also laden with symbolism.

For the grand event, Kendrick wore a custom-made blue and black Martine Rose varsity jacket. The front of the statement garment read 'Gloria' which was a nod to the closing song on his recently released album, GNX. Gloria, which means glory in Spanish, is as a metaphor for Kendrick's pen game, and according to Genius, becomes a personification of rap glory. 'The woman Kendrick speaks of serves as a conceit, becoming an extended metaphor for the discussion of his craft,' the publication states.

Others struggled though, with one admitting: 'Spending the entire halftime show trying to read what Kendrick's jacket says.'. Kendrick accessorized his custom jacket with a huge silver 'a' chain, which many believe was another dig at Drake. According to The US Sun, he forked out an eye-watering $1.2 million on the necklace, which had 240 diamonds on the letter alone. Although unconfirmed, the rapper left many convinced that the diamond necklace was a nod to his famous 'a minor' line from his Drake diss track, Not Like Us.

Pointing out the detail, one shared: 'KENDRICK LAMAR WAS WEARING AN A MINOR CHAIN ON STAGE.'. 'Wearing an a minor chain for the #Halftime performance!! Chef's kiss Kendrick!!' another exclaimed. A third said: 'The chain having a lowercase a… Oh I know your game, Kendrick.'. The star also drove fans wild with his flamboyant bootcut flared jeans as he strutted up and down the stage. The $1,300 Celine by Hedi Slimane jeans, which draped over a pair of Nike Air Max 96s, saw fans quip he was 'wearing my girlfriend's jeans' in hilarious reactions.

One fan wrote: 'Everybody’s quick to call Drake zesty, but when Kendrick Lamar comes out wearing these jeans, everyone goes silent.'. A second typed: 'I want to know why Kendrick is wearing my high-school girlfriend's jeans?'. Others wrote: 'I think Kendrick Lamar’s jeans are the real MVP. Love the cut.'. Outfits aside, Kendrick also made sure his set was packed with hidden messages. At the top of his performance, he appeared to make a dig at Trump, who was among the high-profile attendees in the crowd.

Addressing the audience, Kendrick said: 'The revolution is about to be televised; You picked the right time but the wrong guy.'. The multi-Grammy award-winner was of course referring to Gil Scott-Heron's acclaimed 1971 poem, The Revolution Will Not Be Televised, which speaks to the Black power movement of the 1960s.

However, Kendrick's mention of the 'wrong guy' sent the internet into a frenzy, immediately leading them to believe he was referencing January's US Election. During the rapper's track Humble, they stood in formation on the stage making the flag much clearer to see. At first, the dancers were unified, but seconds into the track they divided in half with Kendrick standing in-between them. Some eagle-eyed audiences noted this and deduced that the group was split to show how the country is politically and culturally divided.
