The Traitors star Minah Shannon may have narrowly missed out on a chance to be in the final, but she did share a sweet moment with Claudia Winkleman off-screen after her shock banishment. The 29-year-old Liverpudlian was one of the original Traitors on the BBC show's third series, making it all the way to the final week before being banished in one of the last roundtables by the contestants, including fellow Traitor Charlotte Berman. Speaking to The Mirror in an exclusive chat after her exit, Minah revealed what really happens when a contestant is banished on the show.
"Claudia did come and say bye and a couple of people did as well, because when you're banished - that's it, you're gone," she said. "There's no 'I'm off now, see you later!' You're just removed from the situation. So it was really nice that she came to say bye. She didn't have to but that did mean a lot and the same with some of the producers, they said goodbye.".
She added that she made one last attempt to get back on the show. "I was like, 'See you later guys, can you write me back into the game tonight please?'" Minah laughed. "There's no hanging about. As soon as you're banished, you're gone, that it. Then you're home a day or two after that.
"I remember getting home and thinking, 'Oh gosh, I wonder how everyone is.' Then you have to try to find each other because you want to make sure everyone's okay. I think I apologised to every single person that was murdered in the game and they were like, 'It's a game!'".
Minah shared that presenter Claudia also checked in with the cast regularly during filming to make sure they were alright. "We would see her at breakfast and that was always lovely and obviously at the roundtables we got to spend time with her," Minah said.
