A SELF-EMPLOYED businesswoman has hit back at cruel trolls who dub her 'just a cleaner' - she claims people don't realise the hard "graft" she puts in. The savvy woman has defended her profession, saying her hard work is proved by her impressive £2,500 a month income. She says she set up her company a year ago and at the time made just £50 a week. Since then, she's grown that amount to now rake in £30,000 a year from her hustle - all without having to answer to a boss.

She wrote: "I see so many misconceptions about the cleaning industry and how people look down on jobs just like mine.". She told users that there is so much more to being a cleaner than "just getting a spray and wiping a surface.". And she tells ignorant trolls that "surface wiping" isn't even her "form of profession.". Instead, as a "solo business owner and cleaner" she has to "wake up every day and provide myself with a living.".

This includes handling her accounts, social media, advertising, legal admin and customer service. She reminded viewers of these responsibilities as she told them there was way more to her day-to-day work than they might initially think. Calling her career "24/7" she says she doesn't get to leave her job and "not worry about work till the next day.". But the hardworking businesswoman says her profits prove her success, telling people: "I started earning £50 a week in my first few months and 12 months down the line I've turned that into 2.5k a month all by myself and I have never ending ideas to further my business.

"Being JUST a cleaner is more then [sic] it seems.". People were quick to flood the comment section with support and praise for her hard work. One person wrote: "Job snobbery is the worst and usually comes from those who couldn't do the job they're looking down their nose at.". While another person said: "As someone who recently started hiring a cleaner, it’s not 'just' anything. It’s a blessing to have someone look after you and your space and take a load off your to do list. It’s SO appreciated.".

Somebody else chimed in: "Cleaning is such an underrated job. I was so happy when I was a cleaner, and it kept me fit as hell!". And another person bragged: "This 'just a cleaner' has just booked my 3rd holiday of the year.". One user commented: "I respect this. You’re a businesswoman earning an ethical income. Brilliant.". While another person said: "My sister was a single mum and qualified mortgage advisor. Lost her job, set up a cleaning company 15 yrs ago & now lives mortgage free + buy to let property with multiple holidays a year.".
