After an evening celebrating the best in British television at the TV Choice Awards, a flurry of famous faces were papped leaving the boozy afterparty in London. The TV Choice Awards has become a highlight of the showbiz calendar and this year was no different as some of Britain’s biggest celebrity names scooped the most coveted trophies in the industry, as voted by the public. After the glitzy bash in which shows including I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! and Gogglebox picked up gongs, the celebs were papped jumping into waiting taxis as they headed home to bed after letting their hair down at the after party at the Hilton Hotel.
Kym Marsh looked very chic - but a bit tired - sporting a black lace frock and blazer as she was photographed leaving the bash with her eyes closed as she made her way past security. Also seen with her eyes closed was Brookside star, Claire Sweeney, who looked gorgeous in a floor-length, asymmetric white silk gown with towering silver platform heels. The Scouse actress appeared to almost take a tumble on the cobbled streets as she made in way into a waiting taxi, but she still managed to pout to perfection, showing off her bright red lipstick.
Also seen leaving the Hilton Hotel in the capital was This Morning host, Sian Welby. She too almost took a tumble as she navigated the pavement in towering red stilettos in the rain, wearing a gorgeous blush pink suit. Also getting the red stiletto memo was Christine McGuinness. The ex-wife of Paddy McGuinness looked sensational leaving the event, wearing a black mini dress with maribou feathers. Getting into her taxi, she flashed a grin, showing off her sparkly shoes as she headed home after the festivities.
Next seen leaving the bash were Kate Garraway, Johnny Vaughan and Ashley James, who looked like she was having a spot of bother getting into her taxi, wearing a form-fitting purple leather dress, which left little room for manoeuvre. There were a number of usual winner at the awards, which were held at the Hilton Hotel in London. However, there were also a few snubs, which came as a surprise. There were wins once again for the likes of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, who bagged an impressive 19th award at the ceremony. A number of other favourites added to their haul over the years, with the likes of Call The Midwife and Gogglebox also being honoured.
However, EastEnders fans were stunned to discover the long-running BBC soap didn't receive any accolades. The London-based soap lost out to ITV's Emmerdale for the coveted Best Soap Award. The Best Soap Newcomer also saw an Emmerdale cast member win, with Beth Cordingly scooping the award. And the Best Soap Performance also went to ITV, with Peter Ash and Coronation Street victorious.
