A special 50p coin commemorating the Red Arrows has been launched, marking 60 years since their debut public displays in 1965. This new coin from The Royal Mint showcases three of the Red Arrows' BAE Systems Hawk TI jets mid-flight. Colour versions of the design are available for collectors, adding more speed and vibrancy to the tribute. The Red Arrows, officially known as the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, have pulled off close to 5,000 performances in front of audiences from 57 countries worldwide. Rebecca Morgan, director of commemorative coin at The Royal Mint, said: "The Red Arrows are a symbol of British aviation excellence in the UK and worldwide.
