The couple decided to use dry ice - the solid form of carbon dioxide (CO2) - for the big moment, with plans that the smoke would turn pink for a girl or blue for a boy. Amy, CEO of NKD Apparel, and her husband were initially over the moon to find out they were having a girl.

Instead of the moment being celebrated, everyone was forced to evacuate the room and had to stand in the cold in the garden.
