Kendrick Lamar will headline the Super Bowl half-time show on Sunday, February 9 and no doubt his long-term partner Whitney Alford will be in attendance. Fresh from his victory at the 2025 Grammy Awards, where he scooped a total of five accolades including Record of the Year for his diss track Not Like Us, the 37-year-old will head to Caesars Superdome in New Orleans to perform. Despite his enormous success as a rapper, Kendrick is notoriously private when it comes to his personal life and relationship with fiancée Whitney, 38.

The couple first met one another back when they were teenagers and attending Centennial High School in Compton, California. Kendrick and Whitney started out as friends, but their relationship soon developed into something romantic. After high school, Whitney attended California State University Long Beach, where she studied accounting. But she later became a licensed esthetician and launched her own business in Los Angeles.

The couple's first public appearance was in 2014, when they made their red carpet debut at the 56th annual Grammy Awards. Kendrick has described Whitney has his 'best friend' in the past and the pair have known each other since high school. Whitney also occasionally posts snaps of everyday life with her two kids and admitted in a November 2023 post that motherhood is 'the greatest and toughest job I've ever been tasked with.'.

More recently, Whitney and the children made a brief appearance in the music video for Kendrick's award-winning track Not Like Us.
